AT YOUR HOME
Dear Cornerstone parents,
We hope our awesome Cornerstone kids are enjoying their weekly lessons and activities at home. Please see below the links for this week in addition to extra material for each age group. We want to encourage you to enjoy and connect with the many groups via the online platform, Zoom. We ask you to have an extra activity box with blocks, Lego/Duplo, colouring papers and playdough for after the lesson and activities so the kids can play and continue doing things while you connect with others.

LET'S GET READY! HERE IS A SIMPLE CHECK LIST
Set up a corner in your home with a throw, pillows and a device or laptop to show the online lessons.
Check the links for the lessons ahead of time and make sure they are downloaded and ready for the day – you’ll need to register yourselves with Life Church and it is for free.
Make sure your activity box is ready for the craft of the day: scissors, glue, coloured craft paper, white A4 paper, colouring pens, playdough, stickers and anything you want to add.
GET THE KIDS INVOLVED FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE MEETING
Kids to join the countdown ready for the beginning of the service!
Encourage kids to join you in worship.
Get them to help prepare the elements for the breaking of bread. If they are too young then include them by giving them a cracker and juice so they feel part of what we are remembering and declaring.
Include them in the tithe and offerings as many kids have been giving to God and this is a wonderful opportunity for them to continue. As a local church we are building up our alms fund that will go towards supporting families in need. What a wonderful thing they can give towards.
Pray with them.
LAMBS & BEARS (3-6) YEARS OLD
“If any of you needs wisdom, ask God for it!”
Draw on a brown piece of paper a treasure box and on a separate piece of paper the lid of the box. Then cut out small coloured paper and decorate the box.
On a separate paper write the word wisdom and write on it the scripture of the day. Then on a bigger piece of paper put glue on the edges of the treasure box but keep the top and inside without glue as you’ll be filling it with treasure! Then roll the small paper you write the word Wisdom and the scripture on and place it inside the box. Then place the top of the treasure box above the scroll of paper.

1 Corinthians 10:13 NIRV
Made for this
I’m All in
If you have a canvas or a thick piece of paper, it’s time to draw/paint a picture that represents the scripture above.
What does sin represent to you?
How does God help protect you from sin?
And how do we say NO to sin?
Allow the questions above to form the painting you will draw and then share it with us at the end by sending it to Rana.Jones@gmail.com
Here are some ideas for what you can do with your paintings:
You could draw a white heart and write in it purity and all around it draw dark colours
You can draw a candle in the light and write down the scripture underneath so using light colours like yellow, white, orange for the candle and dark colours for the darkness
You can draw yourself holding an open umbrella protecting your head. Draw drops of dark rain coming on the umbrella and write the scripture at the bottom of your page.
Be creative and have fun!
